    “How Are Animatronics Made?
    Think about your favorite movie. Is it live action? Stop-motion? Maybe it’s claymation or even 3D. Many films today have special effects. Your favorite might have CGI or even animatronics!

    What are animatronics? Put simply, they’re puppets that can move thanks to technology. They’re run by people using remotes or other devices to tell them how to move.

    Can you think of any examples of animatronics? They’re used in many movies. Films like “Jurassic Park,” “E.T. the Extraterrestrial,” and “King Kong” helped make them famous. They were also key in making “Jaws” and “Gremlins.” Even Jabba the Hutt in the original Star Wars films used this technology.

    Animatronics are also common in theme parks. Visits to Disneyland and Disney World wouldn’t be the same without them. The “Enchanted Tiki Room,” “Pirates of the Caribbean,” and “Splash Mountain” are a few examples of rides that include them. You’ll also find these types of characters in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™ at Universal Studios.

    Have you ever seen an animatronic? Did you think it looked true to life? If so, you’re not alone! As technology has advanced, these moving puppets have improved as well. But while they seem realistic, they are in fact made by people.

    How are animatronics made? The process may differ from project to project. Still, it always starts with a design. An artist first sketches an idea. Then, they build a small model. The design goes through an approval process before continuing to the next step.

    Next, an artist or team of artists will build a full-size sculpture. They’ll start by molding clay or another material into the right shape. Then, they’ll use sculpting tools to add details like facial features and skin texture. This sculpture is used to make a mold. Molds are especially useful when more than one of the same animatronic needs to be made.

    Once the mold is finished, the next step is to make a cast. The materials used will vary based on what kind of creature is being made. It can include rubber, fiberglass, resin, and many other substances.

    The animatronic object is then split into several pieces. This helps the final product move more realistically. Finally, the cast is filled with a plastic or metal “skeleton.” All the pieces are then connected. The completed product can then follow directions and move around controlled by a remote.

    Over the years, many advances in technology have improved the function of animatronics. For example, 3D printers are often used nowadays to build models and molds, making the process faster.

    If we design a building aesthetically good and also decorate it beautifully from inside, yet if its surrounding outside area is rubbish, then the beauty of the building will be considered reduced. As such the building must have a beautiful surrounding. This is achieved by landscape development.
    Landscape design enhances the aesthetic appeal of a building. It entails planning the space outside or surrounding a construction or a building.

    The job of the landscape designer is to manipulate and shape the natural layout of the site to suit his uses and create aesthetic pleasure. The outdoor environment could be designed with natural or man-made components i.e., it could be natural or artificial.

    The importance of Landscape Architecture should not be undermined.

    Natural Environment

    A landscape derived from the natural habitat of the region constitutes a natural environment and depends on the type of existing natural surroundings such as a forest or a desert. Such an environment exists even in man’s absence.

    Natural landscape is one that is not affected by human activities. Natural landscape remains intact if the living and non-living elements of that natural environment are free to move and change.

    There is no place on earth that has remained undisturbed by the human activities. Human beings are also a part of Bio-diversity. But their cultural influences exert such pressure on the Bio-diversity that it completely modifies the natural environment. If an area is abandoned by the culture and is left free to the nature, the natural forces will act on the modified environment and bring it back in nature’s control.

    Artificial Environment

    Man alters the natural environment by creating an artificial environment such as fields and farms and landscaped gardens.

    Man designs his own environment

    Man designs the landscape around the built environment for its pleasant and aesthetic appearance. He designs it either by merging the building with the natural environment or by creating Parks and Gardens. In doing so, he makes the environment pleasant to live in.

    Maintenance of Artificial Landscape

    A man-made landscape once created, needs constant care and maintenance. Some landscape elements get worn out and destroyed over a period of time, and need to be replaced. Weeds should be periodically removed. Proper watering of plants should be done. Cutting and pruning must be carried out periodically. All this involves cost and skill.

    How does studying dinosaurs benefit humanity?
    Studying dinosaurs has played a key role in developing evolutionary theory and other scientific concepts, such as plate tectonics and biogeography. All of these pursuits arise as a result of humanity’s innate curiosity to investigate how our world works and where we fit within the natural world we see around us.

    The fossil record documents that we now live with a minute fraction of all the organisms that have existed in the past on our planet. Yet, we are connected to all of those organisms, past and present, through the long evolutionary history of life. As the fossil record of dinosaurs and other organisms illustrates, changing climates and episodes of extinction have altered the course of Earth’s history for billions of years, a perspective that can help us better comprehend the challenges that we presently face.

    The Berg: The biggest artificial mountain in the world
    German architect Jakob Tigges has projected a new and visionary landmark in Berlin. He plans to build a mountain of 1,000 meters high called “The Berg”, which would become a never-before-seen tourist destination in the German capital city. Seen at Plataforma Arquitectura.     The objective is to create a natural habitat for the mountain’s wildlife and at the same time, become a recreation space for everyone in the city. “The Berg” would take the place of the Tempelhof Airport, a space currently under discussion. Surprisingly, there’s a big group supporting “The Berg” and people are pressing to get the approval and financing of the project.

    While big and wealthy cities in many parts of the world challenge the limits of possibility by building gigantic hotels with fancy shapes, erecting sky-high offce towers or constructing hovering philharmonic temples, Berlin sets up a decent mountain.     Rare Skeleton Of Dinosaur That Inspired Velociraptor From ‘Jurassic Park’ Up For Auction
    The most complete skeleton ever found of the dinosaur deinonychus, maybe best known as the “velociraptor” seen in the Jurassic Park franchise and one of the rarest of all dinosaur fossils, is going up for sale next month in an historic auction.

    “Hector,” named after one of the Trojan warriors in the Iliad, is a skeleton made up of about 126 fossil bones dating back to roughly 108 million to 115 million years ago that was excavated from Wolf Creek Canyon in Montana in 2014, according to Christie’s.

    Christie’s said it will be the first time a deinonychus fossil ever appears at auction, and expects the skeleton to sell for between $4 million and $6 million.

    Complete deinonychus fossils are among the rarest of all dinosaur remains, and “Hector” is the only complete specimen in private hands, while only two other sets are housed in museum collections, according to Christie’s.

    The skeleton will go on view at Christie’s showroom in New York Saturday before going to auction on May 12, marking the only public display of the specimen after it was part of an exhibition in Copenhagen that ran from 2020 to 2021.
